'Bloom' Print Collection

Seattle is a land filled with gorgeous, super-saturated color. Every nook and cranny of my neighbors gardens are bursting with beauty! Arriving in the spring of 2018, I began to photograph this beauty during my regular walks. This ritual became a daily delight. But then 2020 hit all of us and for many months the world felt very dark. One day in May of 2020, I realized that despite the uncertainty and somberness pervading our lives, my daily ritual of pausing to appreciate and admire the beauty around me pierced through the dark. Joy was felt despite the circumstances! Immediately I experienced an urgent need to share this joy with others. Over the following months, I took this inspiration, expressed it on canvas and the ‘bloom’ series was born. Joy walks hand in hand with wonder. Creating this new series has been a life-giving remedy for me at this time. I look forward to sharing my wonder and joy with you.

This bloom, with all of its pinks and reds, was the first bloom I ever painted. The original canvas was 60 x 60 inches! I had to go big. The ‘bloom’ series is all about joy. Carefully orchestrated, these paintings are a jubilant contemplation of pattern and repetition. Circles dance and overlap to create a colorful depiction of reimagined beauty found in nature.

These prints are exhibition quality, using the latest Epsom digital printing technology and Epsom UltraChrome archival ink that’s been tested and proven to be color stable up to two hundred years. The canvas prints are finished with a satin UV protectant varnish. The paper prints are printed on archival, smooth surfaced cotton rag paper which is acid, lignin and chlorine free.
