My Story
Creativity runs deep
Growing up as the middle child of five girls, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t creating. My Mom tells me that all she needed to do was give me a box of crayons and I’d be busy for hours! My oldest sister, Angela, would play “teacher,” assigning our sister Krista to write stories—and I was always the illustrator. Together, we choreographed dances, composed songs, and transformed entire rooms into makeshift theaters for our “performances.” I remember watching my Opa paint watercolors and building giant dragon-shaped sand creatures on the beach with my dad. Creativity was the rhythm of our family life, and from a very early age, I think I just knew I would be an artist. For my gap year, I launched a small art business painting murals in homes. I had no idea that this simple beginning would plant the seeds for the creative journey I’m on today.
