The circles aren’t a technique so much as a temperament - each one placed by hand, each one overlapping the last, building something that is less about botanical accuracy and more about the feeling of a thing in full bloom. The chaos is the point. The abundance is the point. Joy rarely has clean edges. The peach is warm and unguarded, the color of something that has never learned to hold back. The green is fresh and insistent - the aliveness beneath the bloom, the reminder that lush things grow from wild places. I wanted to paint what it feels like to be filled. Not decorated, not improved - filled. The way presence does that. The way joy, when it’s the real kind, doesn’t trickle in but opens wide, spills over, takes up every available space. Bloom is not a study. It’s a response.
