Titled after Psalm 143:10, this work translates the psalmist’s plea for guidance into a visual meditation on light and form. The bloom is constructed through overlapping, hand-painted circles of color, which collectively suggest both organic growth and spiritual unfolding. Rather than depicting a flower directly, the painting explores abstraction as a means of conveying transcendence. The transparency of each circle creates layered depth, evoking rhythm, breath, and the accumulation of time. The compositional logic recalls petals radiating outward, while also alluding to repetition in prayer or chant. Color functions here not only as aesthetic choice but as symbolic language, articulating devotion, renewal, and surrender. The work positions painting as a parallel to spiritual practice, where meaning emerges through accretion and persistence.
