The 'Breakthrough' Collection

I’ve discovered a secret:

Simple, repetitive work—like folding laundry, sorting donation boxes, or painting circle after circle - can bring a deep and unexpected peace. It’s strange, but true. These kinds of tasks don’t demand much mental or emotional energy, and that’s exactly what makes them freeing.

There’s something soothing about repetition. The physical movement gives your body something to do, while your mind has space to breathe. It quiets the noise. The worries fade - maybe not completely, but enough to feel grounded again.

Mundane tasks become a kind of gentle escape. And the bonus? They’re productive, too. A study from Tel Aviv University found that repetitive behaviors help relieve stress - not just in humans, but in animals as well. It’s a built-in system, designed to regulate and restore us.

These kinds of tasks give us a small sense of control when everything else feels uncertain. They help us reconnect, reset, and return to ourselves.

This is the essence of the Breakthrough collection. A practice of painting circles - over and over, layer upon layer. Completely abstract. Prayerful. Meditative. It was in this series that I first fell in love with the process itself.

This work became my answer to the question: why circles?
Over time, repetition found its place in my creative rhythm. I’ve learned to lean into it fully. And I’m so glad I did.
